Chili Cook Off South Padre Island Louie's Backyard

The 2016 South Padre Island Chili Expo and Mercado to benefit Walk for Women was a HUGE success!  There were 17 chili teams and over 30 chilies served to the public.  The Mercado had 19 vendors – the most ever!  The weather was stunning and made it a great day for everyone involved.  Special thanks go to SubSea 7 for sponsoring live music presented by Pelican West.  Special thanks also to SpawGlass Contractors, SPI Polar Bear Club and Luke Fruia Motors for their generous cash donations to the Walk for Women.  And a final Thank You to Louie’s Backyard for providing us with the perfect venue to hold this fun event.
